The Home Depot: Saturday Help is Hard to Find
Today, the whole family climbed into the family truckster and headed off in search of the Murphy family Christmas tree. We first stopped for milkshakes at Duchess, the wonderful, take-out restaurant at the corner of Route 103 and Old Columbia Pike, in Ellicott City, just for sustinence, you know. Christmas trees have been picked over, we found; however, at The Home Depot in Chatham Mall in Ellicott City, we found the service had been picked over, too.
The UPS Store: the only way to ship a package
I visit The UPS Store, a parcel shipping and business services store, in the Lyndwood Shopping Center, Elkridge, just about every day. Rob Warner, the prinicpal, is about as friendly a guy as I ever meet, and his staff of young profesionals are eager to help.

A Great Haircut in Ellicott City
I stopped by Master Barber in the Dorsey Search Village Center, Ellicott City, this morning for my semimonthly haircut. I like this barbershop becasue each of the barbers understand how to cut guy’s hair.

Great Auto Service
This evening, the battery on our family van died. We jumped it and drove it straight to the O’Donnell Honda service center in Ellicott City. We expected to leave the van for the evening, and pick it up the next day; however, the service manager personally replaced the battery on the spot, even though it was a few minutes past closing time. The best news, the battery and service were free, both were covered by the 36,000 warranty. Can you beat that service?
