I’m Dave Murphy, and this is my personal blog.

I enjoy writing technical training books, articles, and a daily e-zine of IT tips, tricks, and news tidbits. I have authored over 140 books, including the two-volume set of The Training Book, the handbook for trainers. I try to write a technical article each day. I also author and edit articles for Wikipedia, Wikinews, and Citizendium.

My favorite hobby is reading, and I try to read a book every day. I am a private pilot, and I am an officer in the Civil Air Patrol (United States Air Force Auxiliary). I am based at Tipton Airport (KFME). Nothing tastes better than a hundred dollar hamburger (or crab cake at the beach), so you may often find me heading east for lunch on Fridays and weekends.
